Cheshire East’s commitment to end rough sleeping

Cheshire East have committed to end rough sleeping across Cheshire East. A range of services are in place to provide immediate and longer-term help, including emergency accommodation.

Over the last three years, Cheshire East have been piloting a new approach – with some significant results – which has seen housing officers working closely with colleagues in social care and drug services as part of the outreach support to anyone found sleeping outside.

Now, with additional funding allocated to through the government’s Rough Sleeping Winter Pressures 2024/25 Fund, we hope to be able to further improve and extend the services we offer.

If you witness rough sleeping or know of someone who needs support, information can be reported online or by calling the council on 0300 123 5017
