Cheshire East highways team is fully prepared for the challenges winter brings – from sub-zero temperatures to storms and potholes.
Colder weather is expected to sweep across the borough in the coming weeks and their fleet of 21 gritters has already started winter operations on some high-level routes. They’ve restocked around 500 grit bins, ready for the public to use.
Their crews are ready to respond as the winter weather impacts the condition of our roads, focusing their resources on key routes and road safety. They treat 17 gritting routes, covering the key 40 percent of Cheshire East’s road network.
