The Town Council has been pushing Cheshire East to implement the car park permits scheme as part of the mitigation we required when Cheshire East decided to implement car parking charges.
The scheme has now been published on the Cheshire East Website at
Those that fit the criteria are now eligible to apply for a 12-month permit to park at specific car parks, at a vastly reduced cost, currently £80 for the first permit and £95 for the second. There is a maximum of two permits per qualifying property
The permit may be used on one only of the following car parks:
- Station Road
- Well Lane
- Fairview
There is usually a waiting list for permits and an application must be made to Cheshire East, details of the criteria and the application form is available at
You can only apply for a Alsager resident’s parking permit if you meet the criteria and live on one of the qualifying streets at the numbers identified.
