Cheshire East are seeing a rise in fires inside waste collection vehicles caused by hazardous waste in household bins. With over 30 fire-related incidents already this year, they are sounding the alarm on the dangers posed by everyday items like batteries, vapes, electricals and gas canisters when disposed of incorrectly.
Their ‘When In Doubt, Leave It Out’ campaign focuses on raising awareness of hazardous waste and how to dispose of it correctly. By doing so, you can help to:
